Jeremiah 29:13
You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart. (WEB) In today's Scripture reading, God promises to be found by all who will seek Him with their whole heart. Our Heavenly Father doesn't make it difficult for us to find Him, because He wants to be found! If you have children of your own, would you make it easy for them to find you when you played hide and seek with them? Of course you would, because that is what good parents do! While the seeking can be fun, the finding is much better. In Acts 17:27 the Apostle Paul tells the pagan Greek philosophers that He is not far from each one of us. And then in verse 28, he goes on to say... ‘For in him we live, and move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’ (WEB) God is closer to each one of us than we could possibly imagine. The universe does not contain God... God contains the universe! Every molecule is held together by the very presence of the living God as we read in Colossians 1:17. If you are feeling distant from God right now, ask yourself why you are feeling that way. Is it because you feel you have done something to disappoint Him? Do you feel like you are not worthy to have His attention? No matter what you think might keep you from God, the Bible says in Romans 8:35-39 that nothing in all creation can separate us from His love! My prayer today is that we would all feel just how close our Papa is right now. King David said in Psalm 139 that there was no place he could go to escape God's presence. He is everywhere. As Paul said in Acts 17:26-27... 26 He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
