DECEMBER 4
GOD KNOWS ALL ABOUT YOU
Psalm 139:1-6
1 Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, but, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. 5 You hem me in behind and before. You laid your hand on me. 6 This knowledge is beyond me. It’s lofty. I can’t attain it. (WEB)
It’s incredible to realize that the God of the heavens and the earth is so familiar with all He has created. He knows everything about us and loves us with all His heart! He knows when we sleep, when we wake up, and what we will say before we even say it.
In today's Scripture passage, King David even states that God hemmed him in on all sides! Our God and Father is closer to each one of us than we can possibly imagine. Jesus told us that our Heavenly Father knows what we need even before we ask for it.
If you're feeling lonely and distant from God right now, my prayer today is that you realize He is nearer to you than you could hope for or imagine. I pray that the reality and the closeness of His presence will fill your heart today.
Acts 17:24-28
24 The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn’t dwell in temples made with hands, 25 neither is he served by men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things. 26 He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live, and move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’ (WEB)
