MY GOD WILL SUPPLY
Philippians 4:19
My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (WEB)
The Apostle Paul wrote today's verse in response to the Philippians church's generosity in helping spread the gospel. While this promise also applies to every spiritual need, Paul is referring to their practical needs. I especially love how he personalizes the promise by saying... "My God will supply.”
I truly believe he could say, My God, because it was part of his personal testimony. Whether he had little or much, Paul learned the secret of being content in all situations (Philippians 4:12). He learned through life's highs and lows just how faithful his God was. And because he experienced the Lord's faithfulness in meeting his needs, he confidently made the same declaration to the Philippian church.
Today, I pray that all of us will share the same testimony as Paul. May we all be able to proclaim to others... "My God will supply every need of yours" because we know from personal experience that He has provided every need—… Not necessarily all of our wants, but our needs.
May we all recognize that our Father is a good Father who provides for His children, one day at a time. May we live lives of generosity, knowing that our God promises to meet all our needs according to His riches in glory through our Elder Brother Jesus. I pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal to each of us the vast storehouse in heaven, set aside to meet our needs and those of those around us.
Luke 6:38
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.” (WEB)
