MARCH 16
THAT GOD MAY BE ALL IN ALL
1 Corinthians 15:24-28
24 Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death. 27 For, “He put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when he says, “All things are put in subjection,” it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him. 28 When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son will also himself be subjected to him who subjected all things to him, that God may be all in all. What an amazing picture of love between Father and Son. In today's Scripture passage, we read of Jesus' desire to present the victorious Kingdom to His Father. I am continually in awe of that love that flows within the Trinity One to another.
As one of my dear friends Denise Jordan says... The Father loves the Son so much that He wanted to prepare for Him a bride...and that is what we are. And the Son loves the Father so much that He wanted to bring many sons to glory...and that is what we are. We are the love gift exchanged between both the Father and the Son.
It will be an amazing day when even death itself is swallowed up in victory, and our Lord Jesus presents the Kingdom to His Father and our Father so that God may be all in all. All who have called on the name of the Lord will be there to witness this triumphant event! Because we are now in Christ, we are caught up in the amazing love that flows within the Trinity too!
As Jesus prayed to His Father in John 17:23... I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me. (WEB)
