I IN THEM AND YOU IN ME
John 17:23
I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me. (WEB)
This Bible verse is one of the most profound statements in the New Testament. Jesus declares to His Father the words that will forever change our relationship with God: 'I in them, and you in me' (WEB). The Son of the living God has chosen to join Himself with us for all eternity. He is in us, and we are in Him since Jesus and His Father are one, which makes us in His Father, too!
In John 14:23, Jesus explains the divine connection every believer has with the Trinity when He says... “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. (WEB) The truth is, we are no longer called to live a life separate from the Godhead! We are connected to the Father through the Son by the Holy Spirit who lives in us!
If you feel distant from God and are left to figure out the Christian life on your own, may today's Bible verse bring you back to the truth of His Word. Every believer who has received the free gift of Jesus Christ is now united with Him! We no longer live, but it is Christ who lives in us (Galatians 2:20).
May the reality of our new life in Christ and the fact that we are fully reconciled to our heavenly Father (2 Corinthians 5:17-21) cause the eyes of our hearts to be opened (Ephesians 1:17-23) and grant us the supernatural ability to believe that our Father loves us just as He loves His Son, Jesus!

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation; namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (WEB)
