REMEMBER THE POOR
Galatians 2:10
They only asked us to remember the poor—which very thing I was also zealous to do. (WEB)
In today's Scripture passage, the Apostle Paul shares with the Galatians the instruction he received from the New Testament leaders in Jerusalem to 'remember the poor.' In our busy lives, filled with distractions and demands, it can be challenging for us to keep the poor in mind.
Today, I want to remind us of our heavenly Father's heart. He is always for the marginalized, the poor, and the disadvantaged of this world. We read in 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 how God has chosen the weak, the foolish, and the poor to confound those at the top of the food chain.
May we all reflect His image today as we go about our busy lives and remember the poor wherever we are. Whether those we meet are financially or spiritually lacking, we should keep them in mind and always be willing to share what has been so freely given to us.
And finally, may our Father's generosity flourish in us and flow through us wherever we go.
