AUGUST 28
THE TRINITY AT WORK
2 Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen. (WEB)
The mystery of the Trinity is that there is one God who is expressed in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Three yet one. One yet three. The best description of the Trinity that I have ever heard came from a friend of mine who said that Jesus was the right arm of God, and the Holy Spirit was the left arm of God, with both arms drawing humanity into the Father's bosom.
It's amazing to me that the Trinity is active in the hearts of every believer worldwide. They are truly united in heart and mission to see each of us become like the Son (Romans 8:29).
The grace of God, shown through our Lord Jesus Christ, saves us. The love of God the Father supports us, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit helps us every moment of each day. My prayer is that we all realize how close and involved the Trinity is in our lives.
We are not left to our own devices, for all of heaven's resources have been committed to helping us grow in the knowledge of God and be transformed from glory to glory. We no longer just observe from the outside but are now part of the incredible love that flows within the Trinity itself! As Jesus prayed to His Father in John 17:23... I in them, and you in me.
John 17:22-24
The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one; I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me. Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world. (WEB)
