PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE
2 Peter 1:2-4
Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue; by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust. Today's Scripture reading is filled with powerful declarations of our identity. The Apostle Peter begins verse two by wishing that grace and peace be multiplied through the knowledge of God (the Father) and our Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer today is that grace and peace will be multiplied in everything you do.
The reason we can walk in supernatural grace and peace is because we share in the divine nature of God Himself. We are not merely servants striving to live a godly life; we are actually participants in the sacred power inherent in the Trinity! I truly believe that we are only beginning to scratch the surface of the revelation of God that we currently have. The more we understand who He is, the more we will understand who we are, for we are His children.
May faith rise in our hearts today to believe in every one of our Father's exceedingly great and precious promises that He has for us. May the eyes of our hearts be opened by the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in increasing measure as we continue to be transformed from glory to glory.
Ephesians 1:15-18
For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints, don’t cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (WEB)
