CHRIST REDEEMED US
Galatians 3:13-14
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,” 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (WEB)
We are no longer under the curse of the law, for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, became a curse on our behalf. The great exchange of His life for our life is the most amazing miracle! Today, I pray that the reality of what happened on the cross might become more real to us than ever before. We are no longer under a curse!
We are now under an outpouring of blessings from heaven instead. In Ephesians 1:3, Paul the Apostle tells us that we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in heaven... right now! My question today is... are we living like we are blessed, or are we living like we are cursed?
May the windows of heaven open up for us to see that we have received the promise of the Holy Spirit so that we are now joint heirs with Jesus and recipients of every blessing in heaven. I pray that thanksgiving will rise in our hearts as we marvel at the wondrous work of the cross once more and thank our elder brother again and again for the price He paid to secure our freedom. Thank you, Jesus!
1 Peter 3:9
not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing; knowing that to this were you called, that you may inherit a blessing. (WEB)
