VARIOUS GIFTS BUT THE SAME SPIRIT
1 Corinthians 12:4-7
There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord. There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all. (WEB)
In yesterday's blog, I discussed how the body has many members, yet it is the sum of each member. Today, I want to continue that thought. Instead of using the analogy of a body, I want to describe the beautiful tapestry of giftings that contribute to the corporate expression of Christ on earth.
To share about his beautiful tapestry, I want to start by talking about our Dad. Our Father is the ultimate Creator. He has never made the same thing twice. Every snowflake, every blade of grass, every strand of DNA is unique. And each one shows His glory in a way nothing else can. Though each flower is different, together with every other unique flower in a field, they create a stunning meadow.
The same idea applies to each of us. Instead of trying to be like one another, recognize that our diversity contributes to forming a beautiful mosaic of Christ's image. My prayer is that today we free ourselves from comparing ourselves to others and embrace the unique destiny our Father has planned for us.
We have all been given a manifestation of the Spirit that will benefit everyone. May you discover new freedom to become the person God created you to be, so that your life can help complete the beautiful portrait of the Body of Christ that you contribute to painting.

God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. (WEB)
