GOD WILL CRUSH SATAN UNDER YOUR FEET
Romans 16:20
And the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. (WEB)
In today's scripture verse, Paul's encouragement is simply that God will crush every enemy beneath your feet. It's not your power that will make this happen, but your Heavenly Dad's! He has a father's heart for you and promises to fight for you! Exodus 14:14 says... "Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.” (WEB)
I remember a season in my life when I battled fear. No matter how much I rebuked the enemy, the fear would relentlessly attack every part of my soul. One day, I was talking to my wife about my struggles, and she slapped my chest and said: "Leave that little boy alone!"
As soon as she did that, I saw a picture of myself as a young boy on a playground, and fear—represented by a 300-lb angry man—was yelling and screaming at me! I was paralyzed by fear and helpless to fight back. During this vision, I saw my heavenly Father walk onto the playground. I felt His fatherly rage against the fear tormenting His little boy.
When fear saw my Dad, he was terrified and was defeated instantly. At that moment, I was completely free from the fear that, for months before, had haunted me. I can honestly say that the God of peace crushed Satan under my feet that day. I didn't do it...My Dad did!
Today, I pray that we all recognize that our God and Father promises to save, rescue, and deliver us. May we find comfort in His big, strong arms, and be assured that if God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
Romans 8:29-34
29 For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified. 31 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? 33 Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. (WEB)
