HE WHO DWELLS IN THE SECRET PLACE
Psalm 91:1-4
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. (WEB)
We all have a safe place in the bosom of God where we can find refuge. There is a secret place where we can find rest, living in the shadow of the Most High all the days of our life. In this place of refuge, we are shielded from the things that can steal our peace.
His feathers will be our shield. His wings will be our fortress. Nothing, absolutely nothing can harm us there, for if God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31). My prayer today, is that we would all know the safety and security that is our spiritual reality regardless of how chaotic the world around us feels.
May the peace that passes our understanding make this promise from God a reality for us today. We all have a safe place to retreat to where nothing can harm us. May we journey there right now and put our complete trust in the Most High for He is a good God and Father to all who will look to Him for shelter.
1 John 5:18
We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them. (NLT)
