BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS
Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. (WEB)
Our Elder Brother is called "The Prince of Peace," so it makes sense that His siblings would also love peace. In today's reading from the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells us that one of the hallmarks of God's children is their love for peace.
God has promised every believer the peace that surpasses understanding. The peace from God will guard our hearts and minds, serving as our umpire. My prayer today is that each person part of our Father's amazing family will be a peacemaker in all we do, so that others recognize us as children of God.
2 Corinthians 13:11
Finally, brothers, rejoice. Be perfected, be comforted, be of the same mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. (WEB)
