WE WILL COME

John 14:23
Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him. (WEB)

Every believer is the dwelling place of the Godhead... Father, Son & Holy Spirit. In today's Scripture passage, Jesus tells His disciples that when the Spirit is poured out on them, He will come and His Father will come, and THEY will make their home in us.

In addition to us being the dwelling place of both Father and Son, 1 Corinthians 3:16 tells us that we are the dwelling place of the Spirit of God... Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you? (WEB)

So this means that inside every believer dwells the Triune God. It is often difficult for us to grasp this because it is way beyond our natural understanding. That is why we need the help of the Holy Spirit to make this truth known to us.

In Romans 8:16, the Apostle Paul writes that the Spirit of God bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. It takes the Spirit of God that lives within us to make real the truth that God Himself has chosen to find a resting place in our hearts.

My prayer today is that this would become more real to us today than it has ever been before. Almighty God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) has chosen to make His home in us! May we all be quickened with a deeper revelation today of the implications of having the Kingdom of God living within us... NOW!
