Colossians 2:1-3
1 For I desire to have you know how greatly I struggle for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2 that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden. (WEB) There is a vast storehouse of treasures available for every believer. Ephesians 1:3 speaks of this when Paul writes... Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ; (WEB). While this treasure remains a mystery for those who do not yet know Christ, for those of us who have believed, it is part of our spiritual inheritance. This treasure cannot be earned or deserved but is simply given to every son and daughter of the living God. The more that we begin to 'know' both Father and Son, the more we will begin to grasp the vastness of the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge that are available to us. To 'know' God, is to simply become more intimate with Him. To spend time with Him, to open our hearts to Him and to receive the love He has for us. My prayer today is that our God and Father would give us the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation so that we would know Him better. And as the eyes of our hearts open up to the spiritual reality of the Kingdom of our God and Father, we would see more clearly the vast treasures of wisdom and knowledge that are available to us as part of our birthright. Ephesians 1:15-18 15 For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints, 16 don’t cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (WEB) Comments are closed.
