Colossians 1:9-15
9 For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; 13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love; 14 in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins; 15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. (WEB) Every person who has received the gift of eternal life through the finished work of Jesus Christ, now lives in the Kingdom of the Son whom the Father dearly loves. Though we live in the world, we are no longer of the world. The Bible tells us that we are new creations and that the old has passed away. We live in a kingdom of light. We live in a kingdom of redemption and forgiveness. We live in a kingdom filled with the glory of God. Though we will one day experience the culmination of the glorious kingdom of God when we see Jesus face to face, we still get to live in the same kingdom this side of heaven. When we pass on to glory, there will be no more need to apprehend the kingdom by faith any longer. But as long as we live in our flesh, it is important for us to believe that we have been (past tense) already translated into the Kingdom of the Son. That is why the Apostle Paul prays that we would be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that we would be strengthened with all power to live in the tangible reality of His Kingdom, while we are still living on earth. Jesus taught us to pray in 'The Lord's Prayer'... Your kingdom come Father, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven... May God empower us today with a supernatural revelation from heaven so that we could see that we are already living in the Kingdom of His Son now. Ephesians 1:15-18 15 For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints, 16 don’t cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (WEB) Comments are closed.
