THE BREAD FROM HEAVEN

John 6:57-58
57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he who feeds on me, he will also live because of me. 58 This is the bread which came down out of heaven—not as our fathers ate the manna, and died. He who eats this bread will live forever.” (WEB)

In today's Scripture passage, Jesus tells us that He lives because of the life of the Father that lives in Him. And because Jesus lives, we too can live forever by feeding on the bread that comes from heaven. The living Father is the source of all life and because He lives, the Son lives. And because the Son lives, we too can live by partaking of all the life that is in Jesus.

As we pray The Lord's Prayer and say "Give us this day our daily bread", may we be reminded that the true bread that sustains us comes directly from the throne room of God. May His bread give you life today. May His bread give you strength today. May the Bread of Life give you all that you need today to live a life full of love and contentment as you continue to feed upon the Son.

Matthew 6:9-11
9 Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. 10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. 13 Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
