SENT FROM THE FATHER

John 14:25-26
25 I have said these things to you, while still living with you. 26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you. (WEB)

The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity. He is called the Spirit of the Son (Galatians 4:6) and Jesus referred to Him as the Spirit of the Father (Matthew 10:20). His mission is to teach us all things and to make real to us all that comes from both Father and Son. He is our teacher, our counsellor, our guide, and our helper.

In Acts 1:4 Jesus calls the Holy Spirit 'the promise of the Father' that would transform us and empower us to go into all the world and preach the good news. It is the Spirit of God that lives within us and bears witness with our spirits that we are children of God and joint heirs with Jesus (Romans 8:15-17).

My prayer is that each one of us would open our hearts up to Him in a new way so that we would have new eyes to see (Ephesians 1:17-18) and ears to hear (Revelation 2:17) what He wants to say to us today.
