John 14:21
21 One who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.” (WEB) We are caught up in the most amazing love that exists within the Trinity. In today's Scripture reading, Jesus tells His disciples that those who love Him will be loved by His Father. Not only will His Father love us, but Jesus Himself will shower His affection on us! In Romans 5:5, Paul tells us of Holy Spirit's role in imparting love as well when he says... and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (WEB) Both Father, Son & Holy Spirit are loving us... right now! Because of the finished work of our Elder Brother, we have been baptized into His body and into the community of love that exists within the Trinity. My prayer today is that we would all become comfortable with love. May we all make our home in love, live in love, abide in love... all of the days of our lives! As Jesus told us in John 15:9... Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love. (WEB) The Triune God is eternally committed to loving us. No matter what we do, God's love for us will never change. May we all surrender to His love today and rest our head upon the bosom of God for the rest of our lives. 1 John 4:16 We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. (WEB) Comments are closed.
