Luke 23:44-46
44 It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour. 45 The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” Having said this, he breathed his last. (WEB) Even after the the beatings, the humiliation and suffering of being nailed to a cross, Jesus never lost sight of what His life was all about. His life was all about Him and His Dad. And after He cried out to His Father to forgive mankind for their great transgression against Him, He committed His spirit into His loving Father's hands. May we be reminded today and always that Jesus was about His Father's business in everything that He did. He was the exact representation of His Heavenly Dad on earth and only spoke and did what came directly from His Father's heart. May we be encouraged by the eternal love that existed between Father and Son, even endured on the cross as Jesus breathed His last breath. John 17:4-5 4 I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do.5 Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed. (WEB) Comments are closed.
