John 1:18
No one has seen God at any time. The one and only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him. (WEB) Have you ever thought about the implications of today's Scripture verse? The Apostle John tells us that Jesus is not only at His Father's right hand, but He actually lives in the bosom of His Father! What a picture of love and intimacy! For anyone who has ever envisioned heaven to be more like a corporate boardroom, this absolutely blows that kind of paradigm out of the water. If any of the apostles could capture this image of Jesus leaning on His Father's bosom, it would be John. John had a revelation of the love of Jesus like no other disciple did. When writing the book of John, he did not even use his own name, but simply referred to himself as 'the disciple whom Jesus loved'. And he too understood the intimacy of resting on Jesus' bosom as we read in his account in John 13:23-25. Jesus lives in the bosom of His Father and in John 14:1-3, He invites us to be with Him forever in the same place. May God give us the grace to believe that there is a place for each one of us in the center of our heavenly Father's bosom...right now! John 14:1-3 1 “Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. 3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also. (WEB) Comments are closed.
