Matthew 18:19-20
19 Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.” (WEB) This is an amazing picture of the Trinity at work in the heart of the family of God. Jesus tells us that when two or three of us gather together in agreement, He is in our midst. When we ask our Father for anything in a spirit of unity, it will be done for us. May each one of us be aware of the presence of Jesus around us when we gather in His name. May faith rise up in our hearts today to believe that our Heavenly Father hears our prayers and loves to answer when we come in agreement. May we all be encouraged to ask, seek and knock as Jesus instructed us to do in Matthew 7:7-11, having full confidence that our Heavenly Father is a really good Dad who delights to give good gifts to His children. Matthew 7:7-11 7 “Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. 8 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
