GRACE, MERCY AND PEACE

Titus 1:4
to Titus, my true child according to a common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. (WEB)

When a statement is repeated multiple times in multiple places in the Bible, we should really pay attention to what it is saying. Today's Bible passage is one of those statements that you will see me write about throughout the year. In many of Paul's letters to the churches, he begins his greeting with the following words... Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior...

God's will for your life today is to have a life filled with grace, mercy and peace. He wants you to be at rest in the very core of your being, having the confidence to know that grace is a gift that comes from God lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8). So relax and walk in the grace that has already been given to you.

God's will for your life today is that you would know His mercy. That you would live in the tangible reality that you are loved beyond imagination and that all of your sins (past, present & future) have been forgiven and covered by the blood of Jesus. As another Scripture verse that is repeated often throughout the Old Testament says ... Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. (1 Chronicles 16:34 WEB)

God's will for your life today is that you walk in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3), for the Prince of Peace has promised to give His very own peace to you (John 14:27). We do not have to live a life full of anxiety and fear. It is God's heart for all of us to have the peace that passes our understanding guard our hearts and our minds in all that we do (Philippians 4:7).

So the next time you read a New Testament letter that starts off with the greeting... Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior... may you take it to heart for yourself that this is your Father's pronouncement over your life!
