GOD'S LOVE REVEALED TO US

1 John 4:7-9
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God. 8 He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love. 9 By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. The greatest expression of the Father's love to us, was and will forever be the free gift of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. If we ever doubt our value to God, all we have to do is look at what He was willing to pay in order for us to come home. The once and for all sacrifice of the Lamb of God is the defining moment in all eternity where God proved His love for the world.

In today's Scripture passage, the Apostle John encourages us to make the love of God our priority in all that we do and are. For at the end of the day, it will be the love of God that defines us. If we don't live in love, we truly do not know God, for God Himself is love.

My prayer today is that we would all have a greater revelation of the love that God has for each one of us. I pray that His love would so fill us up, that it would spill out of our being to those around us. May this be the fulfillment of the prayer that Jesus prayed in John 17:23...

I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me. (WEB)
