Matthew 10:19-20
19 But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say. 20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. (WEB) The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of the Son and He is also called the Spirit of the Father. The third Person in the Godhead carries within Himself the common bond between Father and Son. In today's Bible reading, Jesus tells His disciples that they too will have the Spirit of their Father dwelling in them and speaking through them. It amazes me to think that every believer has within them, the indwelling presence of God Himself. In Galatians 2:20, Paul says that it is no longer I that lives, but it is Christ that lives in me. John 14:23, says... Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him. (WEB) In 1 Corinthians 3:16, we are told that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. God has not left us alone in this life. He is closer to us than we could possibly imagine. My prayer today is that each one of us would be tangibly aware of the abiding presence of Father, Son & Holy Spirit at work in our lives today. 1 John 1:3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ. (WEB) Comments are closed.
