John 6:65 He said, “For this cause have I said to you that no one can come to me, unless it is given to him by my Father.” (WEB) It is God the Father who makes it possible for us to come to know His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the One that is and has been speaking to every human heart. Through the outpouring of His Holy Spirit on all flesh as spoken of in Acts 2:14-21, God has provided a way for every person to come to know Him through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is not willing that one perish. He wants everyone to be able to receive the free gift of eternal life offered through the sacrifice of all that He loved. While it is still our choice whether we yield to His leading and come to Jesus, He continues to woo us by the prompting of His Spirit that has been poured out on all flesh. Our God and Father is not an angry judge looking to condemn the world. He is a loving Father who authored a plan before the foundation of the world where we all could come to Jesus and be saved. Every day, He is still pointing mankind to His Son, speaking about His Son, so that we might truly discover the source of all life and live with Him forever in His house. My prayer is that we would all know the heart of our loving Father and the grief He experiences when His Son is needlessly rejected by those who don't know Him. The heart's cry of our Father is that the world would be reconciled to Him through Christ (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). He has committed all of the resources of heaven to this end. May we all see with new eyes that it is our heavenly Dad that is continually bringing a revelation of His Son to everyone who will listen. John 3:16-17 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
