Luke 10:21
21 In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.” (WEB) It gave Jesus great joy to think that His Father was delighted to reveal His kingdom to those with a childlike heart. I am thankful that the systems of this world are opposite to how the kingdom of God works. In the world we live in, the first will be first, the strong will dominate, and the wise will have the inside track on how things work. But in the kingdom of God, the last will be first, the weak will be strong and the poor will be rich (1 Corinthians 1:26-31). And as we read in today's Scripture, the kingdom will be revealed to little children. It actually makes our heavenly Father very happy to reveal the most profound, life-altering revelations to those who Strong's Concordance describes as being 'untaught, unskilled infants'. Though we all have to physically grow up on the outside, I believe it pleases our Father when we stay little on the inside. May we take the words of Jesus to heart from Matthew 18:1-4 where He tells His disciples that unless they humble themselves and change and become little children, they will miss the secrets of the kingdom. Matthew 18:1-4 1 In that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?” 2 Jesus called a little child to himself, and set him in their midst, 3 and said, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. 4 Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
