EVERY HAIR IS NUMBERED

Matthew 10:29-31
29 “Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, 30 but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows. (WEB)

Our Father's attention to detail is absolutely astounding! While He is so big that heaven is His throne and the earth is His footstool, He is aware of all that happens in His creation. Jesus tells us that even the falling of an insignificant sparrow from a tree has the attention of Almighty God.

If our Father is so involved in the micro details of a little bird's life, how much more will He be intimately involved in our lives? Jesus furthers His point by telling us that His Father has even taken the time to number each one of the hairs on our head. With upwards of 100,000 individual strands of hair on the average head, that is quite the attention to detail.

The point that Jesus is making here is that we do not have to fear anything in life because we have a Father in heaven who is watching over us because of our infinite value to Him. He has promised to provide, protect and care for those whom He loves. So the next time you look in a mirror and brush your hair, remember that each one of them has been numbered by Almighty God.

25 Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear.
