Galatians 6:9-10
9 Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith. (WEB) If Paul wrote this encouragement to the Galatians in his letter to them, they must have felt a bit weary in their Christian walk. The fact that he told them not to grow tired of doing good is an indication that they might have been growing tired of doing good. If you are reading today's blog and are feeling a little tired, my encouragement to you (and me) is... don't give up! There is a reward awaiting us not only at the end of our race, but maybe just around the corner. When a sower sows seed in a farmer's field, they do so in faith. In times of sowing, there is no indication of a harvest. As sure as the sun rises and sets, a harvest is coming though! My prayer today is that we would all have the patience and perseverance we need to fulfill Papa's plans and purposes for our lives. If you are called to sow seed, keeping sowing! If you are called to water the seed, keep watering! It is God that gives the increase and if we don't give up, we will see a harvest at the proper time. May the love of God and the comfort of Holy Spirit bring strength to all our weary hearts today. Hebrews 12:1-3 1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him who has endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, that you don’t grow weary, fainting in your souls.
