Psalm 103:10-12
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us for our iniquities. 11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. (WEB) King David declares a very descriptive account of the goodness of God in today's Scripture passage. He starts off by reminding us that God has not dealt with us as our sins deserve. Aren't you glad that you are not getting what you deserve from God? I know that I am! David goes on to tell us that God has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west. According to my calculations, that is infinitely apart! And David goes on to say that God's love for us is so great that it is impossible to measure. He says that God's love for us is as great as the distance between the heavens and the earth. In David's time, they had no Hubble Telescopes that could capture images from millions upon millions of miles away, but there was still something in the heart of David which understood that the love of God was unfathomable. My prayer today is that you would know in a greater measure today than yesterday how true David's declaration is. God does not see your sin. Because of the cross of Christ, He has removed your sin completely and eternally away from you. Hebrews 8:12 says that He chooses to remember our sins NO MORE! I pray that you would know that God's tender mercies for you are new every morning and His love for you is infinitely higher than anything you will ever comprehend with your human understanding. May God give each one of us the power to grasp the immeasurable expanse of His amazing love today! Ephesians 3:14-21 14 For this cause, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man; 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. (WEB) Comments are closed.
