You were bought with a price...

1 Corinthians 7:23
You were bought with a price. Don’t become bondservants of men. (WEB)

Your Heavenly Father purchased you with the highest price that He could pay.  When He offered up the life of His own Son, He did so gladly so that you could be born into His amazing family. But let today's Scripture verse be a reminder that you are not your own.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says that we are now the temple of the Holy Spirit. And since we now belong to God, let us not become enslaved to people. Galatians 5:1 says that it is for freedom sake that Christ has set us free. Because our Father so wants His kids to be free, He rescued us from the enslavement of sin and death through Jesus' death on a cross.

May the Spirit of God give us a fresh revelation of the indescribable cost that our Father paid for our freedom. Since He already paid the highest price, let us truly live a free life and not be entrapped in unhealthy horizontal relationships. We are called to be His sons and daughters and not pleasers of men.

May we all come into a deeper revelation of the personal freedom that Christ has secured for us. May we know that we cannot belong to God and belong to the whims of broken people at the same time. May you experience true freedom today from every snare that would keep you enslaved knowing that you were bought with an infinitely high price.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (WEB)
